This year’s list of the richest Hip Hop artists is exactly the same as last year, but some of the moguls have moved either up or down the list. Diddy came in at #1 – the richest person in Hip Hop – with a net worth of $820 million, bringing him closest to Hip-Hop’s first true billionaire. The Bad Boy owner also owns Revolt Media and Ciroc Vodka among other brands.
Jay-Z came in second this year thanks to a 30% jump in revenue compared to 2016. The jump comes from his streaming service TIDAL and Sprint’s $200 million investment in the company. He also has other successful brands under his belt.
Jay-Z beat out Dr. Dre for the #2 spot this year as the Aftermath mogul slips to #3 with $740 million. Dre was in the second place since 2014 when his Apple deal spiked his revenue at the time.
Coming in fourth is Birdman with $110 million and Drake with $90 million to his name.
