BMG – a pre-eminent performance rights organization in the US – has partnered with a team of songwriters to release a new mobile app. The app gives artists, songwriters, producers and other rights-holders up-to-date information on the value and source of their royalty income worldwide.
The app is connected to BMG’s royalty portal MyBMG 3.0. The portal was launched in March of this year and the app itself will include the ability to break down royalty info by song, country and source. Users will also be able to identify trends in their earnings to help optimize their music release campaigns.
According to HypeBot:
The project was created by BMG’s tech team, who worked in collaboration with songwriting clients including Grammy-nominated songwriter Jenn Decilveo (‘Rise Up’), Eurythmics co-founder Dave Stewart, and Broadway composer Maury Yeston.
The app will be available for both Android and iOS platforms.
