Superstar rap-singer Drake has just earned his first #1 debut on the BIllboard Hot 100 Charts for his latest single “God’s Plan.” The Canadian sensation has dominated charts for his whole career but this marks a new achievement for the rapper and a great start to 2018.
Drake recently released 2 singles – God’s Plan and Diplomatic Immunity – from his recently released project “Scary Hours.” The latter single also debuted on the charts at #7 – that’s two top 10 singles for Aubrey simultaneously. That’s a very good look.
Beyond that Drake also joins ranks with The Beatles this week as one of the only acts to have earned 20 top 10 tracks in a single decade.
And remember the chart battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar with last years releases of “More Life” and “DAMN” – Drake’s latest single has apparently smashed passed Kendrick’s record for “HUMBLE.”
According to BIllboard.com:
1. Drake makes history on Billboard’s On-Demand Streaming Songs chart, as “God’s Plan” opens with 68 million on-demand U.S. audio streams, according to Nielsen Music, shattering the single-week record previously set by Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble.”
Congratulations to Drizzy on the new achievements.
