Drake Sets New Record for Most Billboard Music Award Wins

The big news from last night’s Billboard Music Awards is Drake’s total domination of the night with 13 awards won. This is a new record as the Hotline Bling rapper surpasses Adele’s previous record of 12 wins in a single night.

Drake won Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Streaming Songs Artist, Top Rap Artist, Top Rap Tour, Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Rap Album (VIEWS), Top Streaming Song Audio (One Dance), Top R&B Song (One Dance), and Top R&B Collaboration (One Dance).

Newcomer Desiigner won Top Streaming Son (Video) and Top Rap Song for his smash hit Panda and Rae Sremmurd won Top Rap Collaboration for Black Beatles. Top Soundtrack went to the cast of the Broadway musical Hamilton.

Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop The Feeling” was awarded Top Selling Song and it was also a notable night for Beyonce who took home Top Female Artist, Top R&B Artist, Top Touring Artist, Top R&B Tour and Top R&B Album for Lemonade.
