Stuart Camp, the long-time manager of Ed Sheeran, has split from Elton John’s London-based music company Rocket Music. Before this the company was in a Joint Venture with Camp’s company Grumpy Old Management Ltd. The split was amicable according to sources.

Camp will continue to manage the global superstar Sheeran through his now-independent company. The joint venture with Rocket started in 2007 and 4 years later Camp was able to sign the “Shape of You” singer.

In a statement, Sir Elton John said: “After many incredible years of working together I would like to wish a heartfelt and fond farewell to Ed, Stuart and his team, with whom we have shared some amazing moments.
2017 was a great year for Camp and Sheeran. “Shape of You” became the most streamed song in the world on Spotify. It’s gained over 1.5 billion streams to date.
