This year’s Cincinnati Funk Fest is taking place at the U.S. Bank Arena on April 27 this year. And for the first time in a long time the headlining act will be Erykah Badu, Yasiin Bey, Talib Kweli and producer Hi-Tek. They will be joined by Lauren Eylise Kameron Corvet and Speed Walton during the music festival.
The announcement of the show comes after Bey let the world know him and longtime Blackstar collaborator Kweli were working on a new album. But Talib says he found out the same way we did – in a surprising way. The two have not performed together since the announcement was made.
According to OkayPlayer:
The concert is particularly interesting considering it seems to be Bey and Kweli’s first performance together since the former announced that the two were working on another Black Star album. The two don’t seem to be doing any performances together before Funk Fest, but there’s plenty of time for that to change.
Tickets for the festival range from $63 – $124 and can be found here
