It was yet another saga of they-havn’t-paid-me-yet, this time featuring Scottish producer, Hudson Mohawke, who on March 14th claimed that rappers Kanye West and Drake had not paid him for some unreleased production work.

In the since deleted tweet, the TNGHT artist said that he was “Literally about to release a zip of kanye and drake songs that I’ve done that I got 0 for.”

Before he could go through with his promise to leak the tracks, HudMo’s “wonderful friends n family”️ talked him out of it, reasoning that it wasn’t worth the inevitable legal trouble that such a leak would entail. “I don’t have the 10 milly  to deal w the consequences,” he tweeted. However, he added that on “the day someone actually does thief my laptop,” they will “get 3 albums worth of gold.” (h/t Pitchfork) Read more…

But a day later, Mohawke clarified that he beef was not with the actual artists but with the lawyers involved.

Nothing official has been released about this entire issue so the details remain fairly scarce. But the latest clarification could mean that Mohawke’s relationship with Kanye and Drake is still on point.
