Future Mask Off Hits 11 On the Billboard Hot 100 Charts

Future’s hit record Mask Off has been gaining steadily in popularity, inspiring a viral social media challenge and even getting hip-hop heavy hitters Joey Bada$$ and Dave East to drop their own rhymes on the instrumental.

This has culminated in the single from his self-titled album hitting the #11 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and going certified Gold by the RIAA. This is Future’s highest charting solo singer ever. The rap star has definitely featured on several Hot 100 tracks as a guest, but this is the highest charting solo record.

Because of the #MaskOffChallenge, even Time Magazine covered the success of the song.

But not everyone is too happy with Future’s success. Rapper Mysonne dropped Future’s name and his alleged glorifying of drugs and criminal behavior in a Funk Flex freestyle. Mysonne also went on Vlad TV and discussed the lyrics and his feelings towards the whole situation (watch below):

In the past, Future has stated that he probably doesn’t do the amount of drugs it seems like from his music.

The Atlanta superstar has also been nominated for the Top Rap Artist, Top Male artist and Top Rap Tour at the Billboard Music Awards.
