Migos’ ‘Culture’ & Future’s ‘FUTURE’ Become Certified Platinum

Migos and Future Earn Platinum Plaques

According to AllHipHop, the latest Hip-Hop heavyweights to earn certified platinum status in 2017 from the RIAA are none other than Migos and Future. The album “Culture” from Migos and “FUTURE” from Future have both crossed the 1 million unit mark according to the Recording Industry Association of America.

Both had smash singles this year with “Bad And Bougie” and “Mask Off,” the latter of which sparked the popular #MaskOffChallenge thanks to it’s infectious flute melody. Fellow platinum recording artists Kendrick Lamar appeared on the “Mask Off” remix.

Bad and Bougie was no doubt helped by the hat-tip Childish Gambino gave the song while accepting an award.

Although Future has achieved platinum status from the organization before for Dirty Sprite 2 and WATTBA (along with Drake), this is the first plaque for Migos’ Quavo, Offset and Takeoff.
