SoundCloud Executive Stephen Bryan Leaves Company

SoundCloud Chief Exits Company

The chief content officer for music streaming company SoundCloud is leaving the company, say reports. Stephen Bryan joined SoundCloud in 2014 and is responsible for the successful implementation of SoundCloud Go – the full music streaming service with major label licensing deals.

In a statement, the co-founder of SoundCloud Alex Ljung said “Under Stephen’s leadership, our world-class content, strategy and creator products teams established pivotal industry partnerships that prepared us for our next phase of growth.” He also states that the company does “wish him the best.”

However, HypeBot reports:

SoundCloud is struggling to find its financial footing; and for most record labels CCO Stephen Bryan was a reassuring presence. With his exit, that level of comfort is gone.
