The startup Music Messenger secured $30m of funding in 2015 for its music messaging app that was reportedly attracting more than a million new users a month.
But later that year, the app disappeared from the App store and Google’s Play Store.
Now, it appears that the startup is planning a comeback for the app.
On the now updated Music Messenger website, there is a new yellow-bird graphic, a subtopic reading “mix-tapes, remixes and originally created tracks”, and a message revealing that the app is “getting an upgrade, be back February 2017”.
Its Facebook page, meanwhile, now describes Music Messenger as “an audio distribution platform that lets you upload, promote and share originally created tracks, mixtapes and remixes”. Read more…
