Chrisette Michele was reportedly paid $250,000 for the 30-minute performance at President Donald Trump’s Inauguration.
Quite a lot of money for someone who’s been taking some heat for accepting to perform at the inauguration.
Questlove had offered to pay her not to perform but I doubt he would go this high.

Fans called her a traitor. Even after her touching open letter where she quoted MLK.
Fellow artists called her a sellout (except for Lil Mo who came to her defense).
But, she still pocketed a huge amount of money for a 30-minute performance, a short session of speaking to attendees, some free drinks and hors d’oeuvre.
The payment figure was originally believed to be $750,000. But that may have been allocated for the entire r&b and gospel ensemble. The Inaugural Committee intentionally kept the names of the other participants quiet, fearing last-minute cancellations.
