Swedish hit-writing powerhouse Max Martin (real name Martin Sandberg) was able to bring in around $51 million for his music production company. That number is up 10% from the previous year, helped by hit songs Martin helped write for Ariana Grande, Pink and Justin Timberlake, to name a few.
But Music Business Worldwide reports that the majority of that revenue likely came from the hit songs he wrote in 2015, considering how royalty payments work. In 2015 Max Martin was a name behind tracks like Adele’s Send My Love and The Weeknd’s Cant Feel My Face.
According to the website:
Martin’s company currently owns assets worth 603m SEK ($70m), of which over 200m SEK ($23m) is tied up in property – including an exclusive townhouse in Östermalm in central Stockholm.
According to business magazine Veckans Affärer, Martin is worth approximately 2.1bn SEK ($245m) including all assets.
Martin is no stranger to hit making. He is one of the names behind a slew of hits from back in the time of Backstreet Boys, NSYNC and Brittany Spears.
