Florida rapper Kodak Black is probably breathing a sigh of relief as 3 charges stemming from a home raid and arrest last month. Bradford Cohen, Kodak’s lawyer, confirmed the charges were dropped to TMZ.
Currently, the rapper is still in custody but the charges of possession of a weapon or ammunition by a delinquent, grand theft of a firearm and child neglect have been dropped. Kodak was arrested at his Florida home after taking to Instagram Live with his entourage in the background armed with guns and weed in the video.
According to Billboard:
In a report by The Blast, Black’s attorneys fought to have the charges against their client dropped based on the fact that authorities couldn’t prove whether the Florida rapper’s guns and marijuana in the video were in fact real. Their argument was that rappers use fake weapons in their music videos all the time.
Kodak Black is currently in jail without bail for violating his probation and still faces four other charges.
