The second annual Celebration event hosted at Prince’s Paisley Park Studio will take place from April 19-22 this year. The four day event will take place at the late singer’s complex situation in Chanhassen, Minnesota.
This year’s event will see performances from Sheila E., fDeluxe, and a new “super-group” composed of the Park’s alumni. Celebration-goers will also be able to take in panel discussions and special presentations highlighting Prince in his various roles during his life.
And there’s something even newer happening this year.
According to Rolling Stone:
On April 21st, the two-year anniversary of Prince’s death, Celebration 2018 attendees will flock to Minneapolis’ Target Center for Prince: Live on the Big Screen, a concert featuring “newly remastered and never-before-released audio and video of Prince accompanied live on the Target Center stage by an all-star ensemble of musicians who performed alongside him throughout his storied career.”
Prince died on April 21, 2016. The Celebration event, now in it’s second year, was put together to celebrate the life of a musician who affected so many around the world with his art and talent.
