Recently Sonny Digital took to social media to say that music producers need a union. That may be very true, but despite the fame/recognition that modern-day music producers have garnered, there are a load of music makers out there that don’t get the props they deserve. That’s why some people are happy that The Production Music Awards – an award show for “Production Music” (music available to license for film/tv/corporate uses) – are returning this November.
The event’s sponsor is MCPS Production Music, and the awards will run alongside Tune Up – a day of panels/sessions for composers, producers and musician. The panels will cover topics related to producing music for Production use.
According to Complete Music Update Simon James, Head Of MCPS Production Music, says “Last year’s PMAs were a triumph and we’re THRILLED to continue our support of this positive event, showcasing the fabulous, high quality music our industry consistently produces.”
The awards will take place on November 24th in London with tickets costing 120 GBP. To learn more visit ProductionMusicAwards.com.
