Last week, iconic rapper Rick Ross was hospitalized after being found unresponsive in his Miami home. Early reports on Friday speculated that Ross was on life support but friends and family quickly took to social media to let the world know that was false. People like Fat Trell said that though the rapper WAS in the hospital, he was not on life support.
Hip-Hop reacted with prayers and thoughts, wishing the rapper well and hoping he got better quick. But 50 cent didn’t say much. He just posted a picture that some think is worth more than 1000 words.
50 took to Instagram to post a picture of the villain Drago from Rocky IV. The picture was taken from the point in the movie where Drago knocks out his opponent Apollo Creed and says “If he dies, he dies.”
Many people took to twitter to scold the rapper for the tasteless jab at Ross while he was down. But 50 cent and Rick Ross’ history is long and storied.
According to HipHopDX:
Fif alluded Rozay was a “fat piece of” shit in 2008 and in 2011, called him a “fat boy” after Ross experienced two back-to-back seizures on the same day.
In 2015, 50 filed a $2 million lawsuit against the Maybach Music Group head honcho for using his monster hit “In Da Club” on Ross’ Renzel Remixes project.
In 2016, Ross told Rolling Stone, “I’m the biggest L he ever took.” Fif responded with a since-deleted Instagram post featuring a hyena with the head of an antelope in its mouth and the caption, “When it’s all said and done, I will have his head. I said I was going to talk less and do more this year. Watch it play out.”
