Spotify went down on the same day that Youtube did.
It was a bad day for streaming services indeed. The problems affected people in the US, Europe and the rest of the world.
For Spotify, it meant that users were unable to load the app and stream music but the offline listening features still worked. The problem was more frustrating because the app claimed to be connecting but never actually did.
Spotify went on Twitter to say that it was aware of the problem and was already fixing it. It later stated that the issue had been sorted out and that people ought to be able to get back online.
All this came just days after Spotify announced that it had hit 100 million users. And what that means is that another case of the app breaking means disappointing a whole lot more people.
