Pro audio company System 80 have just released a new multimode filter called JOVE that was inspired by the iconic Roland Jupiter 6’s vintage filters. The modern recreation of the unique sound is said to be based on the same design without the rare and expensive vintage part in the original.
In addition to the same types of filters on the Jupiter 6 (low pass, band pass and high pass) the JOVE also includes a 2-pole 12dB mode similar to the Jupiter 8 from Roland.
Here are the JOVE’s features:
- 4 modes: 24 dB low pass, 12 dB low pass, band pass and high pass
- 2 audio inputs, one log attenuated and one non-attenuated
- 2 frequency CV inputs, one unipolar input and one attenuverted input
- 1 resonance CV input, non-attenuated
