Rap star T.I. has got a lot of screen time in his future. He’ll be returning to his role in the Marvel film Ant-Man and the Wasp. But that’s not all, according to Deadline, he’ll also be starring in the upcoming music drama “Glow Up.”
The originator of Trap Music will also score and co-produce the film alongside Robbie Brenner, Kevin McKeon and Brian Sher. The film will be written by Chuck Hayward (from Dear White People) and directed by Justin Francis – music video producer for artists like Trey Songz and Demi Lovato.
According to Billboard:
The film centers on an all-female performance group from a Los Angeles high school who enters a singing competition in an effort to use the cash prize to save their school’s underfunded and almost-defunct music program. But the girls are faced with a major problem as their lead singer leaves and a new “charismatic, yet unconventional” lead singer steps up, forcing the group to band together for the sake of their music program.
There is currently no release date set for the film but Ant-Man and the Wasp will hit theaters in July.
