New York rapper Troy Ave was one of four people shot at the Irving Plaza shooting on the night of May 25 where one person was killed.
T.I. was set to headline the show at the plaza but he never even got on stage. Rappers Maino and Uncle Murda were on stage, and officials say that the incident began as a fistfight, then after a few minutes turned into a gunfight. A gunfight that happened backstage at the third floor green room area.
As reported by XXL, Troy was shot in the leg and is now in hospital.
According to police, most of the people involved are from Brooklyn and have prior records.There were about 950 people in the concert building at 17 Irving Place during the shooting.
Troy Ave, 30, whose real name is Roland Collins, was the first person shot. He was hit in the leg and is expected to recover. He was taken to the hospital.
