The Benny Boom-directed Tupac Biopic, All Eyez On Me is currently in post-production and we now have a first look at it. All happening in the shadow of the recent passing of Afeni Shakur Davis who was the movie’s executive producer.
Starring is Demetrius Shipp Jr. as Tupac Shakur, The Walking Dead‘s Danai Gurira as Afeni Shakur, The Vampire Diaries‘ Kat Graham as Jada Pinkett and Jamal Woolard reprising his role as the Notorious B.I.G. from the 2009 Biggie movie, Notorious.
The film is named after Tupac’s 1996 release, All Eyez On Me, which is commonly referred to as one of the greatest hip hop/rap albums of all time.
Filming began mid-December in Atlanta and was completed in Las Vegas last month.
It’s set to hit theatres in November.
In the above Instagram clip, you can see Shipp Jr. re-enacting the heck out of Tupac’s infamous press conference outside of a courthouse in 1993, where he was standing trial for sexual assault charges. thesource.com
