Pro audio plugin company Waves Audio has just released a virtual instrument version of the exact piano that was played on singer Adele’s smash hit “Hello.” The Fazioli F228 grand piano was recorded at London’s Metropolis Studios and the sampled plugin version will be called Grand Rhapsody.
The samples were recorded in the studio with eight pairs of LEGIT microphones, including the Neumann U87 and AKG C451. In the plugin you can blend up to three different mic pairs and adjust their positioning to get a unique sound. You also get control over many other features like pedal and key up. The software can be used as a DAW plugin or a standalone sound source.
Like a sleek Italian sports car, the Fazioli F228 model was engineered from the finest Italian parts and craftsmanship, taking its wood from the same red spruce forest where Antonio Stradivari cultivated his rare and celebrated violins. The deep bass, rich resonance and crystal clear tonal qualities produced by the wood have made the Fazioli a highly coveted instrument for the most discerning ears in music.
Grand Rhapsody Piano by Waves Audio is available for purchase now for the surprisingly low price of $29 USD.
