The Weeknd’s hit song “Starboy” which features Daft Punk has just bumped Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles” featuring Gucci Mane out of the top spot.
This gives the Canadian artist his third Hot 100 No. 1 and Daft Punk’s first.
The Weeknd scored his first No. 1 with “Can’t Feel My Face” back in 2015. The second time he reigned on the chart was with “The Hills” which actually dethroned “Can’t Feel My Face” some months after.
“Starboy”, released via XO/Republic Records, peaks at No. 1 on its 14th week on the Hot 100.
It also crowns the Digital Song Sales chart for the first time (5-1), logging the chart’s greatest week-over-week sales gain (up 28,000), surging by 49 percent to 86,000 downloads sold in the week ending Dec. 22. Its coronation on both charts was boosted by 69-cent sale-pricing in the iTunes Store during the tracking week. Read more…

Starboy is The Weeknd’s third studio album. It was released on November 25, 2016. Apart from Daft Punk, it features guest appearances from Lana Del Rey, Future, and Kendrick Lamar.
The other Starboy track on the chart is “I Feel It Coming” also featuring Daft Punk.
As “Starboy” crowns the Hot 100, its follow-up single continues to climb. “I Feel It Coming,” also featuring Daft Punk, jumps 33-25, nearing its No. 22 high (set Dec. 17, when Starboy debuted atop the Billboard 200). “Feel” climbs 30-23 on Radio Songs (41 million, up 14 percent); 47-29 on Digital Song Sales (21,000, up 35 percent); and 40-37 on Streaming Songs (6.7 million, down 11 percent).
