Rapper XXXTentacion’s latest album “?” debuted on the Billboard Hot 200 Album chart in the #1 position. In it’s first week the album generated 131,000 album equivalent units including 20,000 actual sales and 159.4 million streams.
The numbers take X’s latest project to have the second largest streaming week of 2018, second only to Migos’ Culture II. The chart (Billboard 200) ranks the most popular albums in the United States based on sales and streaming numbers.
According to OkayPlayer:
?— which was released by XXXTentacion’s independent label Bad Vibes Forever and distributed by Caroline, a division of Capitol Music Group— marks XXX’s first no. 1 album, and his second studio effort. He made his Billboard chart debut a year ago with the single “Look at Me,” preceding his first album 17.
Billboard says that even if the traditional sales didn’t happen, the album still would’ve debuted at the top of the chart this week.
The number 1 comes as the rapper was on House Arrest since December. A Florida judge approved the removal of house arrest so X could tour to help support the new album.
